About Dyslexible

Who am I?

My name is Corrinne. I am a fully qualified dyslexia assessor and specialist dyslexia teacher, with 10 years’ experience supporting pupils with SEND.

What do I do?

With my experience in SEND, I take a friendly, understanding and individualised approach to dyslexia assessment, helping learners feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.

How can I help?

A dyslexia assessment can help you better understand your child's strengths and the areas they may find difficult. For some, understanding why certain things feel harder can bring a sense of relief and help them feel more confident about the way forward.

Quick Guide to
Diagnostic Assessment

Before the Assessment

You will be provided with three forms to complete: one for the parents/guardians, one for the school, and one for the young person being assessed. Please ensure all forms are completed and returned at least 7 days prior to the assessment.

As part of the assessment process, it is essential that the school completes the school information form. Please ensure this is forwarded to your child’s school as soon as possible, as the assessment cannot proceed without educational input.

Important: Please ensure your child has had an eye test within the last 12 months. If they use glasses or coloured overlays, please bring them to the assessment.

During an Assessment

Your child will complete a range of reading, spelling, and thinking tasks in a calm, supportive environment. The assessment usually lasts around 3 hours with breaks. To ensure we gain the most accurate understanding of your child’s strengths and needs, the assessment is conducted one-to-one with the assessor. Many of our young people feel more comfortable working independently, without a parent or carer in the room. You are welcome to wait nearby, and if your child becomes unsettled or asks for you at any point, we will pause the session and invite you in. Our aim is to create a calm, supportive environment where your child can do their best.

Assessment Results and Reporting

Approximately three weeks after the assessment, you will receive an in-depth report by email, which will be password-protected to ensure confidentiality. The report will include an analysis of the results, a clear diagnostic decision regarding dyslexia, and recommendations for further support.

A diagnosis cannot be guaranteed. Reports reflect performance on the day of the assessment.
